Focus on Celebrations

Do you celebrate your daily wins and major milestones in your life? If not, you really should! Especially those little wins! In fact, celebrating little wins is really important as they compound over time and ultimately lead to accomplishing your bigger goals. Recognising and rewarding yourself enables the brain to release dopamine, which is responsible for experiencing happiness in life and helps you to focus on what you really enjoy doing. The more you celebrate, the more you will start to see progress as the brain feels rewarded for its efforts.  By simply being present, noticing the moment, being grateful for what you have and where you are right now in life will boost your well-being and motivate you to continue to learn and improve. You will become more resilient as you train your brain to move forward. How will you celebrate your wins? Here are just a few ideas…

  • Take time out with friends, colleagues or family to celebrate (socially distanced celebrations obviously!)

  • Keep a daily wins journal to acknowledge your growth

  • Switch off all gadgets and relax with a nice dinner or film night

  • Share your little wins on social media and encourage others to do the same

  • Keep a bottle of fizz ready in the fridge as a motivational tool

Remember success takes time, so make sure you enjoy your journey!

ACTION POINT Celebrate your daily wins! Focus on what you have, not what you don't have. Focus on what you are grateful for. Share your wins and tag me in to your social media posts!
