Focus on Momentum

Building and maintaining momentum is crucial to success in any long-term endeavour. This weekend on Sunday, I celebrate a major personal milestone: one year sober. Living alcohol-free has for me been a journey of constant growth and joy. Throughout the year, I have used an app called Reframe which provided me with learnings around the physical and psychological effects of how alcohol impacts the body and mind. Removing alcohol from my diet has done wonders for me and my health so it’s actually been very easy to maintain momentum.

In much the same way, momentum has played a vital role in keeping this newsletter thriving since its inception on 14 August 2020. Today marks the 213th edition of Friday Focus - testament to the power of consistency and perseverance to provide one topic for you to focus on every single week.

Whether it’s maintaining sobriety or delivering valuable content week after week, the importance of momentum cannot be overstated. It’s easy to start strong but it takes real dedication to sustain progress over time.

Every milestone, big or small, fuels that drive to keep going. Momentum builds confidence, provides you with continuous improvement and particularly encourages resilience when facing challenges. By embracing this forward motion of momentum, both personal and professional victories can be achieved.

Focus on Momentum. Focus on WHY!

ACTION POINT: What momentum do you need to start, build and maintain to accomplish your purposeful objectives?
